We Are For Start Ups
The start up community in Dallas is something unique. We have found there are people all around us with ideas worth spreading and inspiration worth investing into. Here at Fistcloud Productions, we are integrated in the Dallas start up community. We office out of Fort Work, a co-working space in the heart of downtown Dallas. Every single day we get to see first hand the highs and lows, of those with us. We ourselves are a start up and we really do understand the challenges and volatility that exist when you are working to get your business off the ground.
We have heard the stories of failure and celebrated the joys of success. The common thread for us is that we see something new happening. New people are changing things. Ideas inspire more innovation. Innovation is demanding change. This all existing in a community of different people, with different goals, but a collective spirit, a way of being. When I see start ups, I see two things: hope and purpose. And that is a story worth telling.

Whats With The Name?
The Name FistCloud comes from within the ancient story about a prophet named Elijah in the 9th Century BC. Elijah was a prophet in Israel who counseled the King of Israel, Ahab, The text reads “Now go eat and drink. A heavy rain is coming.” So King Ahab went to eat. At the same time Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel. At the top of the mountain, Elijah bent down. He put his head between his knees. Then Elijah said to his servant, “Go up higher and look toward the sea.” The servant went and looked. He came back and said, “I saw nothing.” Elijah told him to go look again. This happened seven times. The seventh time, the servant came back and said, “I saw a small cloud the size of a man’s fist that was coming in from the sea.” Elijah told the servant, “Go tell King Ahab to get his chariot ready and go home now. If he does not leave now, the rain will stop him.” After a short time the sky was covered with dark clouds. The wind began to blow, and a heavy rain began to fall.
